Answer
The A1 Dual Carriageway from Sprucefield to the border is maintained on behalf of my Department by Amey Roads (NI) under the Design, Build, Finance and Operate package 2 contract.
The DBFO contractor inspects road studs on an annual basis, with the last inspection carried out during August 2024. A programme of repairs is underway and will be completed early 2025 subject to favourable weather conditions.
