Answer
The Department has not had any engagement with South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust following its decision to cancel its summer schemes in Lisburn and Downpatrick. It is understood, given the challenging financial position of the Trust, and the requirement to minimise all discretionary areas of spend there was no request to the Department to provide funding to sustain a non-core service.
The Department is not in a position currently to offer financial support.
