To ask the Minister for Infrastructure, pursuant to AQW 18182/22-27, for an update on the timescale for the planned development and opening of the proposed Lisburn West station.

As Minister for Infrastructure, I remain supportive of initiatives that have the potential to improve public transport connectivity and encourage greater use of the rail network.

The proposed Lisburn West station remains under development, and my Department continues to engage with Translink on the project. The Department has already provided £1.8m to Translink to progress the project.

However, it is not possible at this stage to provide a definitive timetable for the delivery or opening of the station.

Investment priorities will continue to be considered as part of future budget and capital planning processes.
